Director KV Anand's name seems to get linked with all the top heroes of Tamil cinema. Earlier, there were rumours that Anand will be teaming up with Rajinikanth after "Kochadaiiyan." But, the superstar went ahead and committed to "Lingaa" with director KS Ravikumar.
Later, Anand's name was associated with Thala Ajith. Speculations were rife that the director will team up with Ajith for his 57th film. Ajith is busy with the shooting of "Yennai Arindhaal" and he will move on to his next project with director Siruthai Siva after completing the current assignment.
Recently, there were also rumours that the actor will be teaming up with AR Murugadoss for his 57th film, but the news was denied by his PR. As of now, there is no clarity on Ajith's 57th film.
After being linked to Rajinikanth and Ajith, director Anand's name is now being associated with Ilayathalapathy Vijay. The latest buzz is that Anand might be directing Vijay's 60th film after he completes his current assignments.
Vijay is shooting for his 58th film with director Chimbudevan. After completing the project, the actor will shift his focus on "Vijay 59," to be directed by Atlee. Even before the film could go on floors, rumours surrounding his 60th film have started doing the rounds.
There has been a buzz doing the rounds that director Anand had put out the following tweet – "I am happy to announce that my next film is respectively #Vijay 60 - a great tale of action and romance" – on his twitter handle, but later removed it. There is no official confirmation regarding the project.
Anand is waiting for the release of "Anegan," starring Dhanush and Amyra Dastur. The director had once said in an interview that he initially offered the film to Vijay, but Ilayathalapathy suggested Dhanush's name for the project as he could not take it up. It remains to be seen if Vijay and Anand will get to team up for a new film in the near future.
