'Ilayathalapathy' Vijay took some time off on Christmas Day to watch the recently-released Hindi movie "PK" starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma. The Tamil star apparently is impressed by the performance of the Bollywood superstar and liked its content.
Reports say that Vijay watched "PK" with his family members at Sathyam Cinemas in the evening on 25 December. The "Thuppakki" star was impressed by Aamir Khan's performance and gave thumbs up to the Bollywood Perfectionist's dedication. He also appreciated the subject and director Rajkumar Hirani's execution.
Vijay had earlier praised Aamir Khan's "3 Idiots". It eventually paved the way for the Tamil actor to remake the movie in Kollywood as "Nanban", which was directed by Shankar. This flick, like its original version, broke several records at collection centres.
Coming to "PK", the Aamir Khan starrer has taken the nation by storm. The movie has made record-breaking ₹155 crore in just a week. Now, the film is getting ready to be remade in Telugu and Pawan Kalyan is likely to feature in it.
However, the buzz says that the film is unlikely to be remade in Tamil as filmmakers here think that the content might not go well with the conservative Kollywood audience.
Meanwhile, Vijay, after his hit movie "Kaththi" directed by AR Murugadoss, has moved on to his next flick with Chimbudevan. It is a fantasy-adventure movie, which also features Sudeep, Sridevi, Shruti Haasan and Hansika Motwani in key roles.
The film unit is busy shooting key portions. The actor has taken a short break to celebrate Christmas. The untitled movie will hit the screens in mid 2015.
