Vijay has completed his 24 successful years in Kollywood on Sunday, December 4. The actor had started working on his first project Naalaya Theerpu in 1992 on this day.
In the initial years, he was working under his father SA Chandrasekhar's direction. After getting decent response for few movies, Ilayathalapathy got his major break in Poove Unakkaga. It was his first commercial hit and helped him to get popular in other industries.
In his career, he has been part of variety of projects. The actor had the lover-boy image for many years, but gradually he changed himself as a mass hero. It was Ghilli in 2003 which got him the much-needed image over of an action hero.
Movies like Pokkiri, Thuppakki and Kaththi reinstated his position as an action hero in Tamil. Apart from his action and mass dialogues, the actor has a good fan following for his comic sense and dance.
Kushi, Thirupachi, Kadhalukku Mariyadhai, Thulladha Manamum Thullum, Friends, Madhurey, Sachien and Sivakasi are some of his memorable films.
Bairavaa Update:
On the other hand, The actor is busy with his 60th movie, Bairavaa. It is an action film which is written and directed by Bharathan. Vijaya Productions-bankrolled flick has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead. Jagapathi Babu, Rajendran, Daniel Balaji and others are in the cast.
The shooting of Bairavaa has been completed last week and the post-production works are on. The audio and trailer will be out in the coming weeks and the film will hit the screens worldwide in January 2017.
