The winners of IIFA Rocks 2015 were announced on 5 June at a glitzy event in Malaysia. Shahid Kapoor's "Haider" picked up as many as six awards, while Kangana Ranaut's "Queen" and Salman Khan's "Kick" walked away with two trophies each.
The musical extravaganza is set to air on Colors TV on 28 June, 8pm onwards. However, viewers who do not have access to the channel can also watch the event here.
"Haider" was honoured with Best Background Score, Best Sound Mixing, Best Costume Designing, Best Make-up, Best Sound Design, and Best Production Design. Meanwhile, the Sajid Nadiadwala directorial took home Special Effects (Visuals) and Best Choreography ("Jumme ki Raat"). Ankit Tiwari's soulful "Galliyan" song from "Ek Villain" was given the Best Song Recording award.
Hrithik Roshan's action-thriller "Bang Bang", as expected, picked up Best Action award for its stunningly choreographed action sequences and Aamir Khan's witty banter in "PK" won its makers Best Dialogue award. Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's beautifully-shot "2 States" took home Best Cinematography, and "Queen" sweeped Best Screenplay and Best Editing.
Expect power-packed performances by Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Lauren Gottlieb and a heavy dose of humour from hosts of the big night – Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra.
The green carpet appearances made for another interesting sub-event in which the ladies turned heads in their exquisite ensembles. Shraddha Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Dia Mirza, Jacqueline Fernandez and Malaika Arora Khan wowed the shutterbugs.
