A host of Bollywood celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Riteish Deshmukh and Javed Akhtar among others arrived in Tampa Bay, to take part in the 15th edition of International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA).
Several B-town stars Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Anil Kapoor, Gulshan Grover, Vir Das, Gauhar Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Saif Ali Khan and others sent the crowd into fan frenzy when they walked the green carpet at Tampa International airport.
On 23 April night, IIFA Stomp party was held in Tampa's Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, which celebrated Bollywood music. The IIFA Stomp party was open to the public for free.
"We always were confident that the people from the Indian community would be here," said Janak Vora, an IIFA organizer who has been working in Tampa for months, told Tampa Bay Times. "But what we were also keen upon was that the broader community would be able to come in and see something of Bollywood without spending a single dollar."
