Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan have been part of many award functions, including IIFA, but this year they gave it a miss. The reason behind it was that the actors attended the opening of Pro Kabaddi League.
Shah Rukh and Ranbir Kapoor came in to support Abhishek Bachchan's team, Jaipur Pink Panthers. Amitabh and wife Jaya Bachchan were also present. Though Abhishek's team lost against U Mumba, Big B posted adorable pictures of the stars on social media.
While SRK, Ranbir enjoyed a kabaddi match, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were among the celebs who attended the IIFA Awards 2016 in Madrid, Spain.
This year the IIFA stage saw Bollywood's most hilarious duo, Shahid Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar, host India's most awaited awards ceremony. The pair bowled over the audience, leaving them in fits of laughter with their amusing wisecracks, impeccable delivery and impressive on-stage chemistry.
The awards ceremony witnessed remarkable acts by Bollywood stars like Salman, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika, Priyanka, Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff. Deepika and Ranveer bagged the Best Actors awards, while Priyanka Chopra was honoured with the best supporting actress' title.
Fans would have been delighted if King Khan and Big B were present at IIFA. However, due to their personal and work commitments, the actors failed to attend the prestigious award ceremony.
