The countdown of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards has begun and several celebrities have flown down to Madrid, Spain, to attend the event. Scheduled to be held from June 23 to 26, the 17th edition of IIFA will have many celebrities performing this weekend.
Shahid Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Athiya Shetty, Gulshan Grover, Manish Paul, Dia Mirza and Vivek Oberoi had jet off to Madrid on Tuesday, while Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Farhan Akhtar, Sooraj Pancholi and Daisy Shah already reached the destination on June 20.
According to IIFA 2016 itinerary, on the event's first day, June 23, a press conference will be held and on the following day, IIFA Rocks. On the second day, Fawad Khan and Karan Johar will host the event and many well known singers will entertain the audience. Music sensations Meet Brothers, Kanika Kapoor, Monali Thakur, Raghu Dixit and Benny Dayal will perform at the IIFA Rocks/MULA Fest in Madrid.
The main awards night will be held on June 25 and it will be a star-studded event. The highlight of the IIFA Awards will be six outstanding acts by Bollywood's biggest stars Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika, Hrithik, Sonakshi Sinha and Tiger Shroff. Last year, Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor had entertained the audience as co-hosts, but this year Shahid and Farhan will take up that responsibility. The duo had also hosted IIFA in 2014.
