Bollywood celebs had a blast at IIFA Awards 2015 in Malaysia. From Deepika Padukone to Anil Kapoor, all the stars added charm to the event with their presence.
But a few of the B-Town superstars didn't show up this year. The Khans, the Bachchans as well as the Kapoors were missing in action.
Speculations were made that the Bachchan family gave it a miss as Abhishek and Aishwarya are busy shooting for their upcoming flicks – "Hera Pheri 3" and "Jazbaa" respectively. However Big B not making an appearance at IIFA might be related to the 2011 Toronto IIFA Awards issue, when he was told that he wasn't required for the event. "Not coming to Toronto IIFA. IIFA says my services are not required," he had tweeted at the time.
Apart from the Bachchans, the Khans too didn't attend the three-day long fest. While Aamir Khan never goes to any award function, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan who usually appear at these events gave it a miss this year. Both the actors are said to be busy with their films' shooting and Salman might also be facing visa issues after the Hit-and-Run case verdict.
The Kapoor clan, including Kareena, Karisma, Ranbir and the yesteryear actors in the family too gave IIFA a miss.
When Ranbir missed Deepika's grand party for "Piku" success, conjectures were made that the Kapoor scion was not in a state to celebrate or attend any event, as he is going through a bad phase in his career after "Bombay Velvet" failed to impress. He is also busy with the shooting of "Jagga Jasoos" with girlfriend Katrina Kaif who also didn't show up at the IIFA.
However, Kareena Kapoor Khan was seen holidaying in Maldives with husband Saif Ali Khan and his family.
Actors such as Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sunny Leone, Sidharth Malhotra and Karan Johar among others also failed to make it to the IIFA in Malaysia this year.
Meanwhile, Kangana received the Best Actress award for her outstanding performance in "Queen" and whileShahid Kapoor won the Best Actor award for "Haider".
