Bollywood actor Salman Khan has decided to skip the 14th International Indian Film Academy awards (IIFA) in Macau, China.
The 47-year-old actor is busy shooting for his upcoming film "Mental" in Hyderabad which is directed by his younger brother Sohail Khan. The "Dabangg" star on his Twitter page said he would skip the IIFA awards this year due to his busy schedule.
"Hi ! All good. Sure @iifa wld rock. Cld nt b thr cs shooting every day," Salman tweeted on Tuesday.
Last year, the actor charmed the audiences at the awards ceremony which was held in Sri Lanka. He will give this year's event a miss much to the disspointment of his fans.
The 2013 IIFA awards, which would be held in honour of 100 years of Indian cinema, is a three-day event that will begin on 4 July.
Salman's arch rival Shah Rukh Khan is said to co-host the main event ceremony along with actor Shahid Kapoor this year.r
Also, Bollywood divas Deepika Padukone, Madhuri Dixit Nene and Sridevi Boney Kapoor are set to rock the stage with their performances. Earlier, Abhishek Bachchan said he would be performing at the awards ceremony.
A host of prominent Bollywood celebrities including the Bachchan family, Vidya Balan along with husband Siddharth Roy Kapur, Sophie Chaudhary, Sushant Singh Rajput, Ayushmann Khurrana, Boman Irani, Irrfan Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Aditya Roy Kapur, ENha Duphia, Anil Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Arjun Rampal, Shardha Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Anupam Kher, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shabana Azmi and many more will attend the prestigious awards ceremony.
