A blast occured in the Rafidabad area of north Kashmir on Thursday, allegedly triggered by terrorists, in which three soldiers have been critically injured.
According to TV reports, the blast, which was caused by an improvised explosive device (IED) was meant to target an army convoy that was passing through the area.
"Militants targeted the Indian army convoy by triggering an IED. One among the three injured troopers is critical," a police official told Kashmir Dispatch. The injued soldiers have been taken to the army's hospital in Srinagar.
An army anti-sabotage vehicle has been badly damaged in the blast.
