Promising to offer more value to its customers using 4G, 3G and 2G internet data packs, Idea Cellular has cut down its mobile internet rates.
The offer appears to target mobile internet users subscribing to data packs or sachets below 1 GB. They will now benefit from 45 per cent more data across all three generational services, reported IANS.
Idea cellular currently offers internet sachets priced as cheap as Rs.8 to a maximum of Rs 225 for its 1GB and below packs. Business Line noted that Idea's 2G data pack for Rs. 19 that offers 75 MB data with a three-day validity will now offer 110 MB. A 4G or 3G internet pack priced at Rs. 22 and offering a data limit of 65 MB will be hiked to offer 90 MB 3G data within its validity of 3 days. The increase in data limit for both the offers are 45 and 38 percent respectively.
Through all these customized, affordable and innovative packs, India's third biggest telco hopes to ensure the benefits of internet are conveniently reaped by every single subscriber.
"This will enable the internet revolution and its impact to be felt in every part of the country," the company's chief marketing officer Sashi Shankar told the news agency.
The daily noted that the new data packs or sachets will be available across all telecom circles starting Friday.
