Indian batsmen were unable to read the outrageous turn that New Zealand spinners were generating from the deck in Nagpur. And thus, they were rattled by the Kiwis, who have entered this tournament as the dark horse.
MS Dhoni & co. will have to bounce back strongly against their next opponents -- Pakistan, Bangladesh and Australia.
But this loss against New Zealand was uncalled for. Being the No.1 T20 side in the world, India should not have started off with their ICC World T20 2016 campaign in this fashion.
They have made things difficult for themselves now and it will be some journey if Team India manages to make it to the semi-finals of the ICC World T20 2016.
