England all-rounder Moeen Ali has expressed his desire to play in the IPL. A number of England players could not enroll themselves in the IPL auction pool, because they were a part of the England Test squad.
England's tour of Sri Lanka will coincide with the cash-rich tournament. Therefore, a number of England players made themselves unavailable for IPL auction.
But, Moeen Ali has stated that someday he would love to play in the IPL.
"I would like to be a part of IPL someday. It is a big and glamorous tournament. I will get chance to learn from top spinners and bowlers there and get to share dressing room with them," Ali was quoted as saying by IANS.
Meanwhile, Ali is aware of the kind of form India are in, and he has given most of the credit for the team's form to R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. He feels the spinners' role will be crucial in this ICC World T20 2016.
"Ashwin and Jadeja have been consistent in their performance. They have brought in variations in their bowling and are doing really well for the side," Ali added.
England have not played much cricket in this format of the game in the recent past, but they have a formidable attack. They have quite a number of big-hitters in their squad who can smoke the white ball out of the park with ease. Ali is confident England have the potential and arsenal to do well in the ICC World T20 2016.
"It is a big massive tournament for us. Root, Stokes, Buttler, Hales, Morgan make a strong batting lineup both in top and middle order. Hope we will deliver well in the games coming up," Ali said.
