The makers of "M.S.Dhoni - The Untold Story" are gearing up to launch a song on Sunday (15 February), as India takes on Pakistan on the second day of the ICC World Cup 2015.
"M.S.Dhoni - The Untold Story", is a film based on the life of Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and director Neeraj Pandey, has dedicated the song tited "Phir Se" to the India team.
Pandey and his team have worked hard on the song, composed by M M Kreem, so to make it ready before the World Cup begins (14 February).
"The idea was to sum up the mood and emotion for the entire nation. 'Phir Se' is an anthem, plea, prayer, dream all rolled in one. And M M Kreem (composer) and Manoj Muntashir (lyricist) have done this beautifully," Pandey told PTI in a statement.
Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays the Indian skipper in the film, is all excited about the song releasing on the day.
"'Phir Se' is our tribute to the inherent passion our players have for the country and the love we have towards our own team. We just want to tell it to them through this wonderful track that they have always made us proud and we always are with them unconditionally!," said Rajput.
Considering the fact that Dhoni is the reigning captain of India and has a huge fan following, "MS Dhoni - The Untold Story" is expected to pull crowds to the theatres.
Produced by Fox Star Studios and Inspired Entertainment -- an associate company of Rhiti Sports -- the film is scheduled to hit screens on 22 October 2015.
"It is a high octane tribute song that the team of the film is dedicating to the Indian cricket team – an anthem to celebrate and support Team India!," said Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios.
