The International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy 2013 is all set to begin on 6 June in England. The cricketing extravaganza, considered as second in importance only to Cricket World Cup in importance, will conclude on 23 June.
Played every two years, Champions Trophy is a One Day International (ODI) cricket tournament featuring top eight nations in the ICC ODI Rankings. The countries that will participate this year are Australia, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
India will take on South Africa in the opening game on 6 June at Cardiff, Wales. Australia are the only team that have lifted the Champions Trophy twice.

Phil Hughes: He is an opening batsman with 1452 runs from 45 innings at an average of 33.00 in ODI. The 23-year-old has scored three centuries and six half centuries.
Mitchell Johnson: He is 31 years old and is a left-arm fast bowler. He has taken 188 wickets from 118 innings at an economy of 4.82 in ODI.
Clint McKay: The 30-year-old right-arm fast-medium bowler has taken 74 wickets from 42 innings at an economy of 4.66.
Mitchell Marsh: He is an allrounder and has played only one ODI. The 21-year-old right-hand batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler has taken one wicket and scored eight runs from the only ODI he has played.
