iBerry is looking to make a strong base in India like many other international smartphone vendors. The Hong-Kong based tech firm launched its latest smartphone Auxus Prime P8000 in India, after the handset was released in China under the name Elephone P8000 in June. The Auxus Prime P8000 will be exclusively available on Snapdeal, as an earlier report hinted and makes for a compelling device under Rs 15,000.
At Rs. 14,990, the Auxus Prime P8000 brings several premium features such as fingerprint scanner, metal frame, 3GB RAM and a mammoth battery. The fingerprint scanner, which recognises fingerprint input from any angle in the Auxus Prime P8000, is placed on the rear panel, just below the camera sensor.
Other features included in the Auxus Prime P8000 include a 5.5-inch Full HD display, 64-bit 1.3GHz MediaTek MT7653 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM and 16GB onboard space with option to expand via microSD card up to 128GB. One of the highlights of the device is its large 4,165mAh battery, which packs Quick Charge technology.
On the camera front, Auxus Prime P8000 packs a 13-megapixel rear-facing Samsung camera with LED flash and a 5MP front snapper. The handset packs dual SIM support and has 4G LTE.
"We are very pleased to extend our cooperation with Elephone – one of the most vibrant Smartphone makers well known globally. Our new Auxus PRIME P8000 with its Elephone's essence is definitely going to create an irresistible impact in the Indian market," Tech First Post quoted Rita Jain, business development and public relations lead at Auxus as saying.
In addition, the iBerry Auxus Prime P8000 will be available in limited edition Gold Prime P8000. As the name suggests, the handset will be dipped in gold hue to give a premium look and cost Rs. 1,000 extra. It will be listed alongside the standard P8000 for Rs. 15,990.
