Mumbai-based iBall has launched a new voice-calling tablet PC Slide 7236 2G in India.
The new iBall device is available at online store eBay for ₹6,999. It sports a 7.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) display and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.3GHz ARM Cortex A7 CPU with 512MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory. (expandable up to 32GB).
The Slide 7236 also boasts of a 2.0-megapixel main camera, VGA camera on the front, dual-SIM slots, Bluetooth, Voice calling, Wi-Fi and A-GPS. The tablet features 2G connectivity which is a bit of disadvantage, considering the fact that rivals like Micromax Funbook Talk P360, Karboon Smart Ta Fone A37 HD and other tablets offer high-speed 3G network in the same price range.
Just a few days ago, iBall had launched a voice-calling tablet called Slide 7271 HD 7. It too boasts of similar specifications that are seen inside Slide 7236, sans the improved Display resolution and 3G network support. It is available at eBay for ₹8,290.
