Mumbai based technology firm, iBall has released a new voice-calling tablet Slide 3G 8072 in India.
The new iBall tablet sports an 8.0-inch HD (1024x768p) capacitive touch-screen and runs on Android v4.1 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box.
Under-the-hood, it packs 1GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB) and 4000 mAh battery. On connectivity front, iBall tablet features dual-SIM slots (dual-standby), 3G network support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro-USB port and A-GPS with Google Maps support.
Slide 3G 8072 is currently available online at Flipkart for ₹11,999. With Diwali festival just few days away, Indian electronics market is witnessing huge price-cuts on electronics devices especially tablets and smartphones. The new iBall tablet will be competing with the Google branded Asus Nexus 7, Lenovo Idea Tab A1000, HCL ME Y3, Micromax Funbook Pro and many more.
Last month, iBall had launched a special edition 10.1-inch Edu-Slide tablet series featuring pre-IIT entrance e-books and course materials for aspiring students.
The device boasts of SIGRID technology, wherein it makes students feel real-time class room kind of experience by mimicking teacher's way of imparting education with audio and videos in sync. In the revision mode, students can even interact with the tablet contents comprehensively.
