Indian technology company, iBall, has launched an affordable high-end smartphone called Andi 5h Quadro into the burgeoning handset market.
"iBall Andi 5h Quadro with quad-core processor, superb screen and camera is designed keeping in mind the needs of smartphone lovers who need all - the speed, the power and big screen," said Sandeep Parasrampuria, Director, iBall.
"Andi 5h shall suit the needs of all entertainment lovers and its ultra-slim design and superb features allow one to carry its experience everywhere and get addicted to it," he added.
The new iBall Andi 5h Quadro sports a 5.0-inch qHD 960x540p display and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean mobile OS with 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory with options of expansion.
Under the hood, it packs a quad-core processor with 1.2 GHz CPU speed powered by a 2200 mAh battery. It houses a 12.0-megapixel camera on the rear side and a 2.0-megapixel secondary camera on the front.
Considering its price-tag of ₹11,999, iBall will be pitted against Micromax A116 Canvas HD, Lava Iris 504q and many numerous other low-cost quad-core smartphones which are released almost every week.
