From fans to husband Abhishek Bachchan, everyone is eagerly waiting to see Aishwarya Rai hit the silver screen, but the actress seems to be in no hurry to return to films.
Earlier, it was reported that the 38-year-old actress was planning to make a comeback in a Mani Ratnam-directed film, but the report was refuted by the director's wife Suhasini.
Several filmmakers were said to have approached the Indian beauty, but the actress reportedly wants more time to enjoy her motherhood before making her comeback to films.
Apparently, it's Abhishek who misses Aishwarya on the screen a lot more. In an interview with Filmfare, the actor said that he is keen for his wife to kick-start her acting career.
"I love her work very much and would love to watch her on screen again. When she signs a film is her decision. She should find something interesting. Right now, Aaradhya is very young. Aishwarya wants to be with her. When she finds it right to work, she will. An actor should sign a film for emotional reasons. It can't be financial or strategic," Abhishek told the magazine.
The actor has rented an apartment in Chicago there so that Aishwarya and 10-month-old daughter Aaradhya can be with him until he finishes shooting for "Dhoom 3" there.
When asked whether his wife and daughter will join him abroad, he said, "Yes. It's impossible to stay without them."
Both mother and daughter arrived in Mumbai on Saturday night after meeting Abhishek in Chicago. Grandfather Amitabh Bachchan arrived at the airport to receive the mother and daughter.
"Here I am !! Picked up the little one with her Mother from the airport .. yes they are back .. and there is excitement !!" the senior Bachchan tweeted.
