The trailer of "Shaandaar" starring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was released yesterday (11 August), and apart from the funny dialogues and Shahid and Pankaj Kapoor's amazing equation, Alia's bikini shot grabbed many eyeballs.
Alia was seen wearing a bright pink bikini as she walked gracefully on a beach. And apparently, the actress had to work very hard to attain a bikini body.
"I worked very hard for a bikini body. I and Shahid used to train together in the gym. I also followed a strict diet to get a bikini body. Also, my bikini shot was not supposed to an elaborate one. It was initially just supposed to be me in the bikini. But since I worked so hard, Vikas Bahl said 'shot le lete hai acha wala (let's take a good shot)'. I am happy people liked it", The Indian Express quoted Alia as saying.
This is not the first time that Alia donned a bikini. She was earlier seen in a two piece in her debut film "Student of the Year".
Directed by Vikas Bahl, "Shaandaar" is supposed to be India's first "destination wedding" movie Shahid and Alia are teaming up for the first time.
The duo's chemistry has been highly appreciated after the release of the trailer and the excitement surrounding the film has grown even more. Ever since the trailer was launched, "Shaandaar" has been trending on social media.
Apart from Shahid and Alia, "Shaandaar" also features Pankaj Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor among others. The film is slated to hit screens on 22 October.
