Akshay Kumar, who is riding high on the success of his recently-released film "Airlift", is all set to feature in South superstar Rajinikanth's "Robot 2" (Enthiran 2). Akshay, who will start shooting for the film in March, will be seen playing the main antagonist opposite Rajinikanth.
In an interview, the "Baby" actor talked about his experience meeting the South superstar during the photo shoot of the movie. He said that he felt like a child and was completely in awe of Rajinikanth.
"I always had this in my mind that whenever I would get a chance to star with Rajinikanth in a film, I would never let it go. Rajinikanth is a man with the golden heart. When I met him for the first time during the shoot, I was completely in awe of him. I was behaving like a child, who innocently looks at the candy jars in a shop. It was a wonderful experience," Akshay told PTI.
Directed by S Shankar, "Robot 2" is a sequel to the superstar's blockbuster film "Robot" and will see the 65-year-old star play the role of scientist Vaseegaran. The film also stars Amy Jackson in an important role.
Talking about playing the antagonist, the "Brothers" actor said that it is tough to play a negative character. "Negative is tough. You have to bring your evil out which you are not used to. I have mostly played positive characters so, it becomes more tough for me. It's kind of a new genre," said the actor.
Earlier, the "Special 26" actor had spilled some beans on the plot of "Robot 2" and said that it carries a message.
