The son of Special Operations Group personnel Parvaiz Ahmed, who died during a fierce encounter in Srinagar, is determined to take the revenge of his dad's death and wants to eliminate terrorism.
According to a report published by ANI, Sahil, the twelve year old younger son of the security officer, said that he wishes to be an officer like his father and take revenge from terrorists. "I want to be an officer like my father; I want to take revenge for his death. His sacrifice will bear fruit for Jammu and Kashmir," ANI qouted the young boy as saying.
Sahil's younger brother is eight years old and also wants to join the forces. Ahmed breathed his last on Sunday, Aug 12 while fighting terrorists in Srinagar's Batmaloo area. Ahmed's mortal remains are yet to reach his home but it seems that his brave kids are already aware about their future.
The martyred security personnel Ahmed was part of the Jammu and Kashmir Police's counter terrorism squad and was also the only earning member in his family. Eleven people were dependent on him for their daily bread and his sudden demise has left his family clueless about their future. The family has requested the state government to support them.
"I appeal to the state government to do justice to us. My son sacrificed his life for the country. There are children in the family and nobody is there to take care of them. I am old, I cannot look after them, there is no support for us without my son," ANI quoted Ahmed's father as saying.
Ahmed's brother and uncle have also appealed to the government stating that all the eleven members of his family were dependent on him and the government should make sure that they are looked after well now that their breadwinner is no more.
Rough weather conditions in Jammu and Kashmir have led to a delay in Ahmed's body reaching his village in Rajouri district as authorities are unable to ferry his remains using helicopters.
The security forces had on Sunday, Aug 12 launched a cordon and search operation after getting a tip-off about a terrorist being present in Batmaloo area. When the terrorist fired on the forces, the search operation soon turned into an encounter and the forces were able to detain two accomplices of the terrorist.
