Actor Rana Daggubati says that he is still a good friend of Trisha Krishnan, adding that he recently partied with the actress and her fiancé Varun Manian in Goa.
A lot has been written and spoken about Rana Daggubati's alleged relationship with Trisha. But both have often refuted the rumours, stating that there was no truth in them. The rumours about their break-up did rounds in the media a few days before the actress got engaged to Chennai-based businessman Varun Manian.
Rana Daggubati is now busy promoting his upcoming Bollywood movie "Baby", which is slated to release in theatres on 23 January. During one of its publicity event, the actor was quizzed about how he feels about the break-up with Trisha. He said that it did not matter to him as he did not have a love affair with her.
"It mattered the first time the news about this fictional link-up cropped from nowhere... and hence I had even spoken to one of the newspapers about the same, explained at length about how the news was not true. However, when I read it the next day, there was just this one line about me denying the news. I could only think of the time I wasted in explaining," Deccan Chronicle quoted him as saying.
Rana Daggubati said Trisha is a good friend and he recently had a very good time with her and her fiancée in Goa.
"It might affect me if there was any truth to it, however, Trisha is a very good friend of mine and I recently met both her and Varun in Goa. We all partied together," he added.
Meanwhile, Rana also confirmed that he is single and has no time for any girl.
"A relationship requires me to be at a certain place, at a certain time. There is a lot of time and effort one needs to put in to get it going, which is something that I cannot afford to do right now. Who would want to be with a guy who was in Hyderabad yesterday, Mumbai today and Delhi tomorrow?" he asked.
