Sonam Kapoor has made a shocking revelation saying that she was molested when she was much younger.
Sonam will appear on Rajeev Masand's year-ending show titled Actress Roundtable. The actresses talk about their life and career experiences on the show.
A promo video has been released which shows that Actress Roundtable 2016 will feature Sonam, Vidya Balan, Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma and Radhika Apte.
The promo video suggests that child sexual abuse will be one of the main topics of discussion on the show this time. In the same video, Sonam is seen saying, "I know I have been molested when I was younger and it's traumatising."
All the other actresses present there were shocked at her revelation. Others too were seen putting forward their views on the issue. Apparently, the discussion of child sexual abuse on the show came forth from Vidya's latest film Kahaani 2 that highlights the issue.
Earlier, Kalki Koechlin had also revealed that she was sexually abused in her childhood. The actress had made the revelation during an interview. Alia had won many accolades for her performance in the film Highway. She had played a character, which was sexually abused by her own uncle during childhood.
