Television stars Karan Patel and Ankita Bhargava have been happily married for almost a year now, but the former's past hasn't quite left him in peace. The "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor has been making headlines for his reported closeness to ex-girlfriend Kamya Punjabi.
But Punjabi is not interested in flipping pages of the past. "I am very clear that I do not want Karan Patel in my life. I don't know who is spreading such rumors. It's been almost a year; the chapter of Karan Patel in my life has got over. Such kind of negative news really upsets me a lot," she told Daily Bhaskar.
Clearly, she is livid and so are Patel and Bhargava. While the husband has requested the media to not unnecessarily speculate, his significant other has decided to keep negative people at bay. "I feel scared to even post a picture with my husband online, because I am scared that they will pump up their bad wishes after realising that Karan and I are actually happy," India-Forums quoted Bhargava as saying.
Earlier on, there was a lot of buzz about Patel going around with his onscreen wife ("YHM") Divyanka Tripathi. Initially, none of the two paid heed to the gossips but eventually they opened up on the equation they shared.
While the actor urged people to respect every artiste's privacy, Tripathi said they never harboured such feelings adding that such talks upset her a great deal. "It's funny how people want us to be together just because they love our on screen chemistry. Karan and I just laugh these things off," she told The Asian Age last year.
