Though filmmaker Shankar is currently on a visit to the United States, he has made sure to catch up with latest Tamil releases.
Few days ago, social media went abuzz with a picture of Shankar in a theatre catching the first day show of Mani Ratnam's "OK Kanmani". Now, the director has watched Raghava Lawrence latest movie "Kanchana 2" and has also tweeted about it.
Shankar said that he completely enjoyed the movie, the slapstick comedy of Kovai Sarala and the act of Raghava Lawrence in the movie.

"Kanchana 2", as per the reports, is making waves at the box office. The movie has also garnered great reviews not only from the audience and critics but also from stars like Rajinikanth and Vijay. Rajinikanth was bowled over by Lawrence's look in posters even before its release and Ilayathalapathy Vijay had congratulated the director for the film's success.
Reports are that Lawrence had also arranged special screening of the movie for Ranjinkanth and Vijay.
Meanwhile, "Kanchana 2", the third film in "Muni" series is minting money across the world and the movie had reportedly grossed a whopping ₹17.03 crore in its opening weekend in Tamil Nadu alone.
Besides Raghava Lawrence and Kovai Sarala, "Kanchana 2" has star cast of Taapsee Pannu, Jaya Prakash, Pooja Ramachandran, Jangiri Madhumitha, Nithya Menen, and Manobala.
