N Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, is the latest to join the bandwagon of celebrities who have praised SS Rajamouli's brilliant direction in "Baahubali".
On 10 July, N Chandrababu Naidu took some time off his busy political schedule to watch "Baahubali - the Beginning". Impressed with the movie, the Chief Minister later took to his Twitter page to congratulate the film's unit. He praised them for taking Tollywood to national and international level.
"I congratulate @ssrajamouli & team for creating a masterpiece like #Baahubali. He has showcased might & pride of Telugu Cinema to the world," N Chandrababu Naidu tweeted on Sunday afternoon.
Not many Tollywood films have been praised by the Chief Minister. Hence, it was a great moment for the makers of "Baahubali - the Beginning".
On the official Twitter page of "Baahubali", the makers tweeted, "Thank you so much, The Chief Minister of AP, Chandrababu Naidu garu. Your support mean a lot to us sir :) #Baahubali."
Director SS Rajamouli, the man behind "Baahubali", thanked N Chandrababu Naidu for his appreciation. He tweeted, "@ncbn thank you very much sir. Our entire team are highly elated with your kind words of appreciation."
"Baahubali" is a two-part epic historical film, produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni. Made with a budget of Rs 250 crore, the film features an ensemble cast of Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatai, Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh and Sudeep in its star cast.
Multilingual period drama "Baahubali - The Beginning" was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam languages in 4,000 screens on 10 July. The movie has got positive reviews from both critics and viewers. Having opened to an overwhelming response, the film has collected Rs 165 crore nett at the worldwide box office in its opening weekend.
