India's auto market is heating up, as car makers in the country are bringing their models to the market with all bells and whistles. Now the latest rumour floating on the web is that South Korean auto major Hyundai is planning to roll out its Verna with Touchscreen infotainment system with AVN (Audio Video Navigation).
The latest tips came from MotorOctane, who reports that Hyundai has already tested AVN for Verna and could bring it into the market after the roll out of Elite i20 with Touchscreen. Hyundai's premium hatchback Elite i20 is also speculated to get Touchscreen Infotainment System soon as the competition in its segment is getting tougher with the launch of new Honda Jazz. Regarding the Touchscreen Infotainment System for Elite i20, last we heard is that the company could launch the model on 8 July.
The move comes at a time when Hyundai Verna's sales have been affected by the sales of Maruti Ciaz and Honda City. Both Ciaz and City come with touchscreen infotainment system.
Verna comes with 1.4-litre diesel and petrol engines and 1.6-litre diesel and petrol engines. While the 1.4-litre petrol engine is tuned to churn out 107 PS of power and 135 Nm of torque ,the 1.6 litre petrol unit is capable of generating 123 PS of power and 155 Nm of torque.
