Korean auto maker is reportedly gearing up to launch its new Verna facelift in India in February.
A new report of OverDrive claims that the 2015 Hyundai Verna facelift will hit Indian roads on 16 February. Verna, the mid-sized sedan which is hoping to regain its diminishing charm in the Indian market in its new avatar will be pitched against Honda City, VW Vento, and Maruti Ciaz when launched.
Auto aficionados have already seen several spy shots of Verna facelift in its disguised and undisguised avatar. The new Verna, which is already being sold in Russian market as Solaris is expected to come with fog lamps with LED DRLs and redesigned rear end with updated bumper and integrated reflectors. The new avatar is also likely to flaunt a redesigned front fascia with new grille and headlamps.
Inside the cabin, Verna sedan is likely to have the simple interior much like the current version and is expected to include a new touchscreen-based infotainment system.The engine line-up of the Verna facelift is likely to include the same 1.4-litre diesel and petrol engines and 1.6-litre diesel and petrol engines, with a five-speed manual gearbox for petrol and a six-speed manual for diesel.
There have also been rumours that new Verna could also get six-speed automatic gearbox. It is also possible that Hyundai makes minor tweak to the current engine line-up to improve steering and suspension.
Speaking of the pricing of new Verna facelift, Hyundai is likely to price it in the ₹7.30 lakh to ₹11.50 lakh brackets.
