With only a month left for the launch of Hyundai's ix25 compact SUV in India, more details about the model have surfaced online.
A report in Rushlane claiming that Hyundai ix25 will be officially unveiled in India in the last week of June lends credence to news that the company would kick off the pre-launch campaign by next month.
Expected to be rolled out in both diesel and petrol engine options in India, Hyundai ix25 is speculated to have a new name for the India market. The car, which is already being sold in some international markets, is likely to get almost the same styling and design as its global counterparts.
Under the hood, Hyundai ix25 is expected to pack 1.6-litre petrol and diesel mills. In the international market, ix25 is sold with 1.6- and 2.0-litre petrol engines coupled with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, with the choice of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
When launched in India, Hyundai ix25, which is likely to be priced between ₹8 lakh and ₹12 lakh, will be pitted against Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Terrano.
It is expected to have features such as central console with audio controls, airconditioner vents and climate controls.
