South Korean auto major Hyundai is betting big on it's newly-set-up luxury brand, Genesis. Genesis announced its entry into the premium auto segment with its first and flagship sedan, the G90, in Korea on 9 December.
Hyundai has now released a promo of the G90, or EQ900, which is slated for its launch in Korea in early 2016. The new video highlights the different aspects of the G90 sedan from the house of newest luxury-brand Genesis.
The G90 measures 5,205mm in length, 1,915mm in width, 1,495mm height and has a wheelbase of 3,160mm. The new sedan which is designed by prestige design division of Hyundai headed by Luc Donckerwolke comes with the choice of three engines.
The 3.8-litre V6 GDI engine develops 310bhp and 395Nm while the 3.3-litre V6 turbo-GDI engine develops 365bhp and 510Nm of torque. The range topping 5.0-litre V8 GDI engine develops 419bhp and 520Nm of torque. All engines are mated to eight-speed automatic transmission. The feature list of Genesis includes a Lexicon sound system, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless charging, and a three-zone climate control system will part of the package.
Hyundai Genesis G90 is expected to be introduced in global market in late 2016. According to previous reports, the sedan has already managed to rake in nearly 10,000 bookings so far.
