South Korean car maker Hyundai will roll out on 8 July its new Elite i20 that will have the Touchscreen Infotainment System, according to The Indian Express.
It is interesting to note that the launch date of new Elite i20 in India coincides with the release date of Honda Jazz, which is gearing up for a comeback in the Indian market.
Honda Jazz, the model which is poised to take on the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, will also be featuring Touchscreen Infotainment System and it looks like it is this factor that prompted Hyundai to offer the same in its successful Elite i20.
The Elite i20 with the new feature could get a higher price tag than the current model without the Touchscreen Infotainment System.
Although Elite i20 has been clocking good sales in the country since its entry in the market, in recent times Hyundai seems to have felt threatened with the arrival of new contenders.
Launched in August 2014, Hyundai Elite i20 packs 1.2 litre petrol engine and 1.4 litre CRDi diesel motor. While the petrol engine of Elite i20 can churn out 83ps of power and peak torque of 114nm, the diesel motor is tuned to generate 90ps of power and peak torque of 220nm.
