South Korean auto major Hyundai has updated its popular models, Elite i20 hatchback and i20 Active crossover, with a touchscreen AVN system (Audio, Video, Navigation).
The newly-updated AVN is available only on the top-end trims- Asta (O) of Elite i20 and the SX variant of the i20 Active.
The AVN infotainment system features a seven-inch touch-screen pre-loaded maps, satellite-based voice-guided navigation and a rear view camera.
The system also has bluetooth connectivity, which lets the driver attend phone calls.
While Hyundai Elite i20 Asta(O) petrol and diesel with AVN are sold for Rs 7.16 lakh and Rs 8.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively, the Hyundai i20 Active SX petrol and diesel will be sold for Rs 7.92 lakh and Rs 9.16 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
Besides the addition of the touchscreen system, both Elite i20 and i20 Active remain the same in terms of styling and design. Mechanically, the duo continues to draw power from a 1.2 litre petrol engine and 1.4 litre CRDi diesel motor. While the petrol engine of Elite i20 can churn out 83ps of power and peak torque of 114nm, the diesel motor is tuned to generate 90ps of power and peak torque of 220nm.
