South Korean auto maker Hyundai has unveiled its hotly-anticipated Creta compact SUV, offering us a clear view of the exterior and interior styling of the car.
Creta SUV, the much-awaited and desired car of the year is about to make its India debut. The car, which has been keeping the auto enthusiasts on tenterhooks for quite a while now, is set to hit the floors of showrooms on 21 July.
From a visual stand point, Hyundai Creta SUV, a copiously tweaked version of its Chinese counterpart ix25 flaunts three slat grille, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels and wraparound taillights.
As for features, Creta will come equipped with push-button start , smart entry, touchscreen entertainment system, reverse parking camera, lane change indicator, dual airbags, leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, dual airbags, parking Sensor Display and more.
Regarding the under the hood treatment, Hyundai Creta will be plonked with 1.6-litre VTVT petrol, 1.6-litre U2 CRDi and 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel mills. While the 1.4l diesel can churn out 90PS of power and 220Nm of torque with 6-speed manual transmission, 1.6l petrol is tuned to make 123PS of power and 154Nm torque with 6-speed manual gearbox. The 1.6l diesel with a 6-speed automatic transmission has the capacity to generate 128PS of power and 260Nm of torque.
Hyundai Creta, which will compete against the likes of Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Terrano in India, is likely to be priced in the range of ₹8 lakh to ₹12 lakh.
