Utility vehicle segment has seen many newcomers in the past couple months. The Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Mahindra TUV300 were instrumental in the surge of sales in the last two months.
Hyundai's Creta made waves in the segment with over 15,000 units pre-booking before the launch on 21 July. The compact SUV of Korean manufacturer eventually became the most selling SUV in India in August beating long time leader Mahindra Bolero.
