South Korean auto major Hyundai has received over 70,000 bookings in India so far since its entry into the domestic market, said the company.
Hyundai Creta, the SUV that made its market debut in early July this year has, had a tremendous journey in India with over 70,000 bookings and 3,40,000 enquiries. The Creta also managed to get 15,770 orders globally.
The company said that the Creta has also received good response from global markets such as Latin America (Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru & Panama), Middle East (Oman, UAE, Saudi) and Africa (Egypt, Morocco & Nigeria). The 'made-in-India' Creta will be exported to other new markets soon.The company has increased the production of the new Creta to meet the increasing demand.
Offered in both petrol and diesel engine options, the Creta's 1.6-litre VTVT petrol engine can churn out 121bhp and 151Nm of torque. The 1.6 litre CRDI diesel engine is tuned to pump out 126bhp of power and 260Nm of torque. The entire engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, while the 1.6-litre CRDi is also available with six-speed automatic transmission.
The Hyundai Creta 1.6 petrol engine offers a fuel efficiency of 15.29 kmpl, while the 1.4 diesel and 1.6 diesel engine variants offer 21.38 kmpl and 19.67 kmpl mileage, respectively.
