Hyundai Creta official bookings are yet to begin in the country, but it looks like Creta is all set to become a game-changer for the company in the Indian market. If the latest reports on the web are anything to go by, the pre-launch bookings of Hyundai Creta SUV have almost touched 10,000.
A report in Shifting Gears claims Creta has already received 10,000 bookings in the country. It is to be noted that only some of the dealers of the company have opened the bookings for new Creta. The official bookings of Creta are likely to commence as soon as the model is launched on 21 July.
From what we know so far, Hyundai Creta will be launched in India in both petrol and diesel version. While only the diesel Creta will get automatic variant, the petrol model will come with 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine line-up of Creta will include 1.6-litre VTVT petrol, 1.6-litre U2 CRDi and 1.4-litre U2 CRDi diesel mills.
To be pitched against Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Terrano, Creta SUV is speculated to carry a price tag in the range of ₹8 lakh to ₹12 lakh.
