With the launch of Hyundai's ix25-based SUV Creta just around the corner, the first official sketches of the car have been revealed, showing the interior and exterior design of the model.
Based on Hyundai's Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 (FS2.0) Design philosophy, the new Creta flaunts a bold front fascia with three slat front-grille and plastic cladding on the body.
As for its interiors, the SUV will be getting dual tone cabin with steering mounted control and driver arm-rest. However, it looks like the Creta compact SUV will not be offered with touchscreen infotainment system in India. Except for the minor changes, the Creta is likely to be the same like the one available in China.
"Creta design follows a premium look, based on Hyundai Motor's evolved design philosophy. Harmony between a bold front, voluminous side, sporty rear and other details complete the premium SUV's design," the company said.
Under the hood, ix25 Creta is expected to include 1.6-litre petrol and diesel mills with 5- and 6-speed manual transmission.
In the international market, ix25 is sold with 1.6 and 2.0-litre petrol engines coupled with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, with the choice of front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive.
To be pitted against Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster, Mahindra Scorpio and Nissan Terrano in India, Hyundai Creta is likely to fall in the price range of ₹8 lakh to ₹12 lakh.
Hyundai is expected to launch the new Creta in India on 21 July.
