The makers of OK Jaanu, starring Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor, have released The Humma Song. It is a recreated version of the popular AR Rahman track Humma Humma from film Bombay.
The recreated song has been titled as The Humma Song and includes some rap by Badshah. While the original track was sung by Remo Fernandez and composed by AR Rahman, music for The Humma Song has been written by Badshah. Jubin Nautiyal and Shashaa Tirupati have lent their voice to the remixed song.
Although the makers of the revised version of the song tried to give it a new-age touch, listening to it will make you want to listen to the original track.
The original Humma Humma song was a peppy energetic track that would make the listener tap his feet instantly. However, the makers of The Humma Song tried to add much sensuality to it, and forgot about making the music interesting enough.
Moreover, Badshah's rap just does not fit into the lyrics of the song. However, Aditya and Shraddha's somewhat sensual chemistry and dance moves in the video is good to watch.
Meanwhile, viewers have been expressing their views about the new song video from OK Jaanu. While some liked the revised The Humma Song, many others have been saying that the original track was far better. Some others commented that Badshah's rap is the worst part in the song video.
Directed by Shaad Ali, OK Jaanu is a Hindi remake of Tamil film OK Kanmani. The trailer of the movie had suggested that it is a romantic drama that will showcase the story of a modern-day couple, who believe in live-in-relationships and not marriage. Check The Humma Song video here:
