Chinese smartphone maker Huawei is reportedly planning to unveil new flagship smartphone P9 early next month.
Popular twitter spy Evan Blass (@eveleaks), citing sources, has claimed that the Huawei P9 will be unveiled April 6.
The marquee feature of Huawei P9 is said to be its primary camera module on the back. Recently leaked images have shown P9 housing 12MP based dual-lens Leica optics camera with dual-tone LED flash and laser autofocus.
On the front, it is expected to sport 5.2-inch full HD display. Under the hood, it is said to house Huawei's proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage and a 3,900mAh battery
Word on the street is that Huawei also plans to unveil a premium phone version with more powerfull HiSilicon Kirin 955 SoC (System-on-Chip), sumptuous 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage and a USB Type C port.
As of now, there is no word on the devices' price. Since the P9 is about a month away from the launch, the company is expected to tease key features of the device soon.
In a related development, rival HTC, which skipped MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2016 event is rumoured to unveil its flagship HTC 10 (aka One M10) in the third week of April.
