Huawei is tight-lipped on its upcoming devices, the P9, P9 Max and P9 Lite, but almost every detail, including release date, pricing and specifications have been leaked ahead of its launch.
It was reported that the devices might be announced at the Mobile World Conference 2016 but it didn't happen. Now, it's been reported that they will be unveiled at Huawei's scheduled event on April 6.
Surprisingly, Oppomart, which exports Chinese smartphones to the US, has exposed the pricing and features of the devices (via Pock-lint), and here are the details:
Huawei P9
The device is priced at $499 (around Rs. 33500). It sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display with 1,920x1,080 pixels, measures 144.9x72.1x6.4 mm in dimension and weighs 144g. Under the hood, it has a Hisilicon Kirin 950 processor, an EMUI base on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a 32GB internal memory, a 3GB RAM, a 12MP dual camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), a 5MP front-snapper, and a 3,000mAh battery.
In terms of connectivity, it supports GSM, WCDMA (HSUPA, HSDPA) and FDD-LTE.
Huawei P9 Max
Priced at $699 (around Rs 47,000), the device sports a 6.2-inch 2K Quad HD display with 2,560x1440 pixels, measures 144.9x72.1x6.4 mm in dimension and weighs 144g. It is powered by a Hisilicon Kirin 955 processor, run on EMUI base on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes packed with a 64GB internal memory and a 4GB RAM. It also has a Dual 12MP main camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation) feature, an 8MP front-snapper, a 3,000mAh battery.
The device also supports GSM, WCDMA (HSUPA, HSDPA) and FDD-LTE.
Huawei P9 Lite
The device comes with a price tag of $299 (around Rs. 20,100). It sports a 5-inch Full HD display with 1,920x1,080 pixels, measures 144.9x72.1x6.4 mm in dimension and weighs 144g. Under the hood, it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor, an EMUI base on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, a 16GB internal memory, a 2GB RAM, a 12MP dual camera with OIS (optical image stabilisation), a 5MP front-snapper, and a 2,5000mAh battery. It supports GSM, WCDMA (HSUPA, HSDPA) and FDD-LTE.
