There were reports that Huawei might announce its devices from P series at the recently concluded Mobile World Conference 2016, but it didn't happen. Now, it's been reported that the Chinese company is set to release Huawei P9 along with three other models in the next few days.
Huawei has teased an event, scheduled to take place on March 9 in Berlin, Germany, and it is very likely to announce four models from the P family -- P9, P9 lite, P9 Max, and an enhanced version, according to a report by Infanr (via Phone Arena).
It is not known what Huawei is trying to convey with the word "Beer" in the press invite, but the P9 devices are very likely to be announced at the event. It holds waters as the P8 devices were released in April last year.
The report by Infanr went on to say that the P9 may come with a 5.2-inch screen, the P9 lite may have a 5-inch screen, the P9 Max a 6.8-inch screen, while the enhanced P8 version may have a screen size between those of P9 and P9 Max with more RAM, if Huawei is to follow the P8 line that came in three models, including the P8 lite and P8 Max.
A report by Venture Beat has claimed that a person, who has hands-on experience of one of the four models of Huawei's upcoming devices, has revealed details of the handset. Believed to be the Huawei P9, the device has a 5.2-inch full HD display, a Kirin 950 processor, Mali-T880 GPU, Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, a 32GB internal memory, a 3GB RAM and a 3900mAh battery. There are also reports that the device will house a 12Mp main camera.
However, one has to take the specifications of the devices from the P9 series with a pinch of salt at the moment as Huawei is yet to reveal the details.
