Huawei's MediaPad 10 Link tablet is up for pre-orders in India through online retailer Flipkart.
MediaPad 10 Link is listed on the website with a price tag of ₹24,990 and shipment will begin in the first week of June. Regarding its specifications, the tablet sports a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280x800 pixel resolution and is powered by a 1.2GHz Hisilicon K3V2 Cortex-A9 Quad Core processor.
Other specifications and features include Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage which is expandable using microSD card slot, connectivity features like 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and A-GPS, 3-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3 megapixel snapper on the front. The device is powered by a 6600 mAh Lithium Polymer battery which claims to gibe eight hours of internet browsing time and 600 hours of standby time.
Huawei, known for its range of smartphones, entered the Indian tablet segment at time when it is flooded with low-cost and high-end tablets from indigenous tablet makers and global players.
However, the company stands a chance, as there are not many 10-inch tablets in the domestic market to compete with MediaPad 10 Link currently. According to some reports, the tablet is priced a little higher, which some view it as reasonable considering the specifications of the tablet. Huawei is expected to review the tablet's retail price for the Indian market after its official arrival.
