Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has reportedly released a list of devices slated to get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.
As per the Huawei community blog EMUI, Huawei P8, P8 Max, P8 Youth edition, Mate 7, Mate S, Maimang 4 (aka G8), G7 Plus, G7, Honor Play 4C, Honor 4X, X2, Honor 6, 6 Plus, Honor 7 and 7i.
However, the devices eligible for the Marshmallow update is for those in the China region only, so the international variant of that particular device listed by Huawei may (get little later) or may not receive the update in certain markets.
As far as India is concerned, Huawei has confirmed that Honor 7 will first get the beta version of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in January 2016, while the public version will be rolled out 30 days later.
The company has also claimed that Google's new sugar treat flavoured OS will be deployed to Honor 6 Plus, Honor 6 and Honor 4X couple of months later in March 2016. We believe this is not the final list, there is a possibility that the company might deploy OS firmware to a few more devices in the coming days. Stay tuned for more updates.
