Chinese smartphone-maker Huawei has launched three new smartphones along with a series of wearable devices at its SEA launch event in Bangkok. Dubbed P8, P8 Max and P8 Lite, all three smartphones has been launched under its Ascend smartphone portfolio.
Huawei P8
The Huawei Ascend P8 boasts a 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1,080x1,920 pixels at 424ppi pixel density count. For added protection, the display has been overlaid with a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The smartphone has been made available in two storage edition - 16GB and 64GB. Though both the edition features similar expandability support up to 128GB and 3GB RAM, they differ in the processor specifications. While the 16GB edition comes powered by a home-made Kirin 930 SoC, the 64GB edition features slightly advanced octa-core 2.0GHz Cortex A53 Kirin 935 SoC. Both the variants of Ascend P8 will run on Android 5 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
On the camera front, the Ascend P8 sports a 13mp camera sensor with OSI and dual LED flash. In order to meet the selfie and video calling requirements, the Ascend P8 sports a 8mp secondary camera. Powered by a non-removable 2,680mAh battery, the smartphone features dual nano SIM slots, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC and Wi-Fi support.

Huawei P8 Lite
The P8 Lite is an affordable edition of P8 smartphone and flaunts a 5-inch IPS display with resolution support of 1,280x720 pixels at 294ppi count. The P8 Lite packs an Octa-core 1.2GHz Hisillicon Kirin 620 SoC aptly backed with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.
The Ascend P8 Lite also features a 13mp rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 5mp front camera. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and expandability support up to 128GB. The affordable edition of Ascend P8 is powered by a 2,200mAh battery.

Huawei P8 Max
The P8 Max is a big-screen lover's edition of Huawei's P8 smartphone. Flaunting a 6.8-inch display with a resolution of 1,080x1,920 pixels at 326ppi pixel count, the display tops with much required Corning Gorilla glass 3 for added protection.
Powered by an Octa-core HiSillicon Kirin 935 SoC, it comprises of a quad-core Cortex A53 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, a Cortex A53 quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU.
Packing 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, the P8 Max also comes with an expansion slot for adding 128GB more storage to the device. The device runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop OS and offers 13mp rear and a 5mp front camera.
Powered by a 4,360mAh battery, the Ascend P8 Max comes with necessary connectivity features like LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC to name a few.
There are no pricing details available as of now. All the three smartphones are expected to arrive in India by June.
