Honor, the online sub-brand of Chinese smartphone maker Huawei, has launched its latest flagship smartphone in India, the Honor 7. The smartphone comes with a dedicated smart button and gesture-enabled fingerprint scanner.
The Honor 7, the full metal clad smartphone, has an air-brushed ceramic coating, offering a premium finish.
The device features a 5.2-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution at 424PPI pixel density count. Powered by a HiSillicon octa-core Kirin 935 processor which combines 2 quad-core Cortex- A53 processor clocked at 2.2GHz and 1.5GHz, the Honor 7 packs 3GB RAM memory and comes in two built-in storage variants- 16GB and 64GB.
Both the versions feature memory expandability support up to 128GB. Huawei has launched the 16GB edition in India, while the 64GB edition is likely to be available pretty soon.
On the connectivity side, the Honor 7 comes with Huawei's Signal+ technology and a smart dual-antenna design, which claims to offer 80 times stronger network signals.
The Honor 7 also features a pre-embedded SOS feature in the phone. The SOS feature will be an application which can be configured by users as per their convenience. It can be activated by pressing the power button and shaking the phone as well, or other combination of buttons.
The Honor 7 packs a 3,100mAh battery, which comes with reverse-charging capabilities. Alongside, the Honor 7 packs a Sony IMX 230 powered 20MP rear camera sensor. The sensor also comes with Honor's PDAF fast-focusing technology that allows its f/2.0-aperture lens to capture strikingly vivid low-light-condition images in as little as 0.1 seconds. The 8MP front-facing camera meanwhile offers a wide-angle f/2.4 aperture lens and built-in LED flash.

The Honor 7 will be available in two colours, Mystery Gray and Fantasy Silver, for Rs 22, 999. The Honor 7 will be available from 00:00 hours starting 15th October, 2015 and will be exclusively sold on Flipkart.
Huawei also launched its budget Smartwatch Band Z1 in India. Slated to be available by the end of October, the Huawei Band Z1 has a circular design with brushed metal bezel around the corners and display at the center. The band is dust proof and water resistant and has been accredited with IP68. Combined with MyFitnessPal app, the band will offer a seamless connectivity experience and an effective activity, steps and sleep tracking mechanism for users who are always on the move. Besides this, the band also comes loaded with features like call reminding, SMS notification, calorie consumption tracker, calendar function and includes a three day battery life.
The Smartwatch will be available exclusively through Flipkart for Rs. 5,499.
