Earlier in the month, reports emerged that Huawei's sub-brand Honor is getting the official nod from the Chinese telecom authority TENAA for the Honor 6X. Now, the device is expected to make its official debut in a few weeks.
As per the sources of MTK technology blog, Huawei is slated to host a product launch event to unveil the Honor 6X on October 18.
Last year, Honor 5X was a huge hit, as it offered top-end features at a nominal price. Now, Huawei Honor is said to be taking a step further for its successor, especially in terms of build quality and camera features.
It is believed that Honor 6X will have all-metal uni-body design language with all-metal cover on the back and a dual-camera module on the rear similar to Xiaomi's Redmi Pro series.
With dual-snappers in place, users will be able to test their photography skills with Bokeh effect feature, which has become a norm in all phones having two cameras.
How Bokeh effect works?
For those unaware, The bokeh effect is a SLR (Single Lens Reflex) camera feature.
For instance, when a user takes a shot using Xiaomi device, the device's primary camera takes high-quality sharp image of the subject, while secondary snapper captures in-depth information of the subject's surrounding and de-focuses the background, to make it look blurry.
Other expected features of Honor 6X include 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) display, fingerprint sensor (on the back, below camera), Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core CPU, 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.
In a related development, Huawei is scheduled to launch the company's flagship Honor 8 in India on September 28.
The Honor 8 sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display with 2.5D curved glass shield. On the back, it houses a dual 12MP rear camera module at the back, with dual-LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Laser autofocus. On the front, an 8MP shooter with f/2.4 aperture is placed on the top right corner.
