Huawei is expanding its presence in the global market by launching Honor smartphones everywhere. The latest market on the radar is India, which is seen by most companies as a crucial one for good business. Huawei's most recent Honor 6 Plus is coming to India later this month, the company announced. The handset's affordable pricing is likely to make an impactful debut in the country, where demand for budget phones with great specs is on the rise.
Huawei made the announcement during MWC 2015 trade show with an optimistic belief. The company's President of Honor International Business, Dragon Yin, reiterated the importance of Indian market for its smartphone endeavours.
"With the launch of 4G in India, we are sure that we will be able to increase our market share by introducing affordable 4G smartphones in India. Our differential lies in our quality, our ability to innovate and each of our products is a result of extensive research and development. We are expecting that the Honor 6 Plus to take the market by storm," Yin said, according to Android Central.
Huawei's Honor 6 Plus release in India follows previous launches such as Honor 3C and Honor 6 smartphones last year. The Honor 6 Plus is expected to bring a similar demand like its predecessor. The handset features some impressive specifications at a reasonable price. It is powered by a octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 925 processor, 3GB RAM, 16/32GB ROM and microSD card support for further expansion. There's also a 3,060mAh battery to keep the handset powered up for long hours and offers dual 8MP rear-facing cameras with LED flash.
According to an NDTV report, Honor 6 Plus is already available in China for CNY 1,999 (roughly ₹20,500), but the Indian pricing and its exact release date is yet to be revealed. It is certain that the handset will be released exclusively via Flipkart.
