Early this week, emerging Chinese smartphone maker Huawei, which is slowly and steadily making its way up in the Indian market, launched feature-rich handset Honor 4C in India.
The new Honor 4C is endowed with a 64-bit class chipset, a sumptuous 2GB RAM, a 13mp camera and an expandable storage and it costs less than ₹9,000.
It is poised to give stiff challenge to popular brands like Xiaomi Mi4i, Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) and Motorola Moto G (2 Gen).
To provide a better perspective on these phones, we have briefly described the key specifications of Huawei Honor 4C, Xiaomi Mi4i, Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE550ML) and Moto G (2 Gen).
Display:
Huawei Honor 4C sports a 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS LCD screen with pixel density close 294 ppi (pixels per inch).
Asus Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML) boasts 5.5-inch HD (1,280x720p) IPS screen with wide 178-degree viewing angle. It also boasts of ASUS TruVivid display technology and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 shield.
On the other hand, the new Xiaomi Mi 4i flaunts a 5.0-inch full HD Sharp / JDI OGS (One Glass Solution) full laminated screen and having pixel density of 441 ppi (pixels per inch). It is protected by Gorilla Glass 3.
Moto G (Gen 2) sports a 5.0-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS screen with pixel density of 294 ppi (pixels per inch) and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 shield.
YU Yureka features 5.5-inch HD (720x1280p) screen with 80-degree viewing angle.
Processor, RAM and Storage:
Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML houses a 64-bit class based 1.8GHz Intel Atom processor Z3560 respectively.
It is aptly backed by the PowerVR G6430 graphics engine, 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory (+ 64GB via microSD card).
Xiaomi Mi4i ships with the second generation 64-bit class based Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System on Chip), manufactured by the industry leader, Qualcomm.
One advantage of having 64-bit processor is that the phone performance and RAM management will more be optimised and efficiently used among the apps. Users are less likely to face lag during multi-tasking.
Snapdragon 615 chipset also comes with H.265/High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) which enables in faster computational operations. It will be aptly backed by Adreno 405 graphics engine, 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory.

On the other hand, Moto G (2 Gen) features sub-par and old Snapdragon 400 series quad-core chipset. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB).
Mobile Operating System:
In this aspect, all phones stand even as they run on the same Android platform, but differ in OS version and user-interface.
Honor 4C currently runs on v4.4 KitKat OS with Emotion v3.0 UI.
Xiaomi Mi4i comes with feature-rich custom MIUI v6.0, whereas the YU Yureka and Asus Zenfone run on Cyanogen CM12 S OS and ZenUI respectively.

Moto G (2 Gen) runs on near-stock vanilla Lollipop OS giving buttery smooth interface to the users.
Camera:
Huawei Honor 4C comes with a 13.0-megapixel with Sony BSI sensor, f/2.0 aperture, LED flash, full HD video recording, auto-focus features and on the front, it houses a pretty decent 5.0-megapixel camera.
Asus Zenfone 2 ships with a feature-rich 13.0-megapixel camera with PixelMaster technology, Backlight (HDR) mode, f/ 2.0 aperture, and 5mp snapper on the front with 88-degree field of view and also comes with ZenUI Selfie Panorama mode which can capture panoramic selfies with up to a 140-degree field of view.
Xiaomi Mi 4i too features a 13mp Sony/Samsung camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, auto-focus, HDR, touch-focus, full HD video recording ability and a 5mp snapper with 80-degree wide-angle lens, f/1.8 aperture with full HD video-recording ability, which is certain to please the selfie aficionados.
On the other hand, Motorola Moto G (Gen 2.) comes packed with 8.0-megapixel camera on the rear side with LED flash, Auto Focus, Slow Motion Video, Burst Mode, Auto HDR, Panorama, Tap to Focus, HD (720p) video recording ability and a 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front side with HD video-recording ability.

Price:
Price is one of the most important aspects of this comparison article as it plays a crucial role in the minds of the price-sensitive middle class working population, which form the biggest chunk of the India's demography.
In this aspect Honor 4C holds the upper arm as it comes with aggressive price-ag of just ₹8,999, whereas competitors Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML and Xiaomi Mi 4i cost ₹12,999 each.

Moto G (2 Gen) made its debut more than eight months ago at ₹12,999, but it can now be grabbed for ₹10,999 on Flipkart.
